His career for club and country is amazing.
Moritz Furste, born on October 28, 1984, played 268 internationals scoring 112 goals for Germany with inspirational performances influencing his winning the 2012 FIH Player of the Year award.
His exploits brought his country two Olympic gold (Beijing 2008 and London 2012) and a bronze medal (Rio 2016).
Furste also has a World Cup gold medal (Monchengladbach 2006) in his packed trophy showcase.
He matched his passion of playing for Germany with that of his beloved club HC Uhlenhorster in Hamburg whom he led to three European Hockey League titles.
Furste was also an icon in the lucrative Hockey India League. He represented Ranchi Rhinos (2013-14) and Kalinga Lancers from 2016, helping the club win the title in 2017 when the league was last held.
