A midfielder, Ellen Hoog has represented the Netherlands in 232 international matches scoring 60 goals.
A key player in a dominating Dutch side, she was voted 2016 FIH Player of the Year.
She made her debut in 2004 and her tenure produced two Olympic gold medals (Beijing 2008 and London 2012).
Hoog also picked up two World Cup gold medals (Madrid 2006 and The Hague 2014).

She retired after the 2016 Rio Olympics where the Netherlands lost to Great Britain in a penalty shootout in the final.
Hoog played for Amsterdamsche Hockey and Bandy club in the Dutch league.
