Born on September 9, 1977, Minke Booij has enjoyed considerable success with the Netherlands team.
She collected an Olympic gold medal (Beijing 2008), a silver (Athens 2004) and a bronze (Sydney 2000).
At the World Cup, Booij, 2006 FIH Player of the Year, won a gold medal at Madrid 2006 and a silver (Perth 2002).
Booij, who captained the side at the Beijing Olympics, collected 150 international caps before quitting the sport in 2008.
The Den Bosch club member then concentrated on her role as ambassador for the Liliane Foundation which supports children who live in poverty.
