Born on 4th June 1995, the all rounder from Odisha state is a jewel in the present Indian Women's hockey team. Since made her senior international debut in 2002, Namita has played Olympic (2016); World Cup (2018); Asian Games (2014 & 2018); Asia Cup (2013 & 2017); Hockey World League Round 3 thrice  (2013, 2015 & 2017); Commonwealth Games (2014 & 2018); and Junior World Cup (2013). She is employed with the Indian Railways
