Born on 5th Feb.1999, forward Gursahibjit Singh burst into the national side in 2018. Hailing from Gurdaspur district of Punjab, the lad had his early trainings at Batala before moving to history making Surjit Singh Hockey Academy in Jalandhar. Known for his speed and accuracy, Gursahibjit first represented Junior India at the 2017 Sultan of Johor Cup -- and again next year -- and then earned his much awaited senior spurs at the 2019 Sultan of Azlan Shah Cup. Since then he is a regular in the senior side that won the FIH Men's Series Final and the Olympic Qualifying series against Russia, both events at Bhubaneswar.
