Britto Sisters were a rage in the 1950s and 1960s. Hailing from old Mysore, these three sisters dominated the National scene. Elviro Britto, eldest of them three, played for India about a decade. After playing career, she contributed to the development of hockey as national selector in the 90s. She was given Arjuna award in 1965, only second women's hockey player to be honoured so at that point of time.
