Dilpreet Singh is making his Olympic debut at Tokyo. One of the six players who made senior debut at the India's tour of New Zealand in 2018, Dilpreet Singh won the hearts of coaches and fielded him in all three majors in the year: Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and World Cup. Not many players do make such a mark on a debut year as the talented forward did. For a player who missed the Junior World Cup two summers ago, the change of fortune was amazing. He hails from Butala in Amritsar District of Punjab. He had his early trainings at the famous Surjit Hockey Academy, Jalandhar. He visited England before the Junior World Cup and then played the Sultan of Johor Cup in 2017 where he emerged as top scorer with nine goals. Earlier in 2016, Dilpreet Singh was declare Best Player of the Tournament at Dhaka U-18 Asia Cup. The just 19-year old's career graph is progressing logarithmic way.
