Born on 15th Aug. 1999, Haryana player Abhishek won gold at the U-18 Asia Cup held at Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2016. When selected for the tour, he was an incumbent of newly formed National Hockey Academy in Delhi. He struck a stunning goal in the final when the score was tied at 4-4. That goal in the final against the host Bangladesh gave India the title.
The gifted forward went on to represent India at the Sultan of Johor Cup in 2017 and 2018.
