Parminder Sekhon, nee Maninder Dhillon, studied at the Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar and Punjab University, Chandigary. She was part of Indian Women's national hockey teams that took part in various events between 1970 and 1976. In this seven-year spell, among others, she visited New Zealand for Series,  figured in the 1974 World Cup and  1975 International tournament in Madras for Begum Rasul Trophy.

Parminder lives in Mohali, Chandigarh nowadays.
