The star forward leads India in the 9th Asia Cup, and hopes to win Gold under new coach Harendra Singh
In the last edition, she gave a stupendous opening with 7 goals against her name in the opener Vs Hong Kong.
She was declared Best Player of the 2013 Junior World Cup.
Rani scored 7 goals at Rosario World Cup, all field goals which speaks of her scoring prowess. She has been a star in the making for long, and it is evident right now.
At Rosario in their last match, which was against South Africa, she scored two goals in a minute, to give India a thrilling 4-3 win.
At Kazan CCC-II, she emerged as the top scorer, after having accounted for 4 goals in the finals of the Champions Challenge II
She is the babe of the team there.
The tenth class student of the Shahbad based Sri Guru Nanak Dev Senior Higher Secondary School, Ritu was also the youngest of the 2006 Kazan Indian team which participated in the Olympic Qualifier.
The lanky forward, another product of coach Baldev Singh, shone in the Gwalior Junior Nationals and Chandigarh School Nationals to attract the attention of the selectors. 2008 Kazan was her maiden foreign tour and she had made the city memorable in her career with a gold this year in the Champions Challenge II.
She also won the Silver at the Bangkok Asia Cup
