One of the leading goalkeeper of her times, Telengana State's Rajani Etimarpu was born on 9th June 1990. Since made her senior international debut in 2009, Rajani was first standby for the Rio Olympic (2016); participated in the World Cup (2014 & 2018); Asian Games (2018); Asia Cup (2013 & 2017); Hockey World League Round 3 thrice (2013, 2015 & 2017); Commonwealth Games (2010 & 2018). She also figured in the Olympic Qualifying Series against the USA in 2019, which India won and thus qualified for the Tokyo number. She also won the gold at 2017 Asia Cup and 2016 Asian Champions Trophy.
