born on 11th Nov 1990, Punjab's Rupinder Pal Singh, the 6+ footer, is youngest of the family, took up hockey seeing his elder brother playing it. born in Faridkot, his hockey interest got a boost when got selected for the Chandigarh Hockey Academy, where he was trained for 3, 4 years before joining a college in Chandigarh.

RUPINDER PAL SINGH was part of the Indian men's National hockey team that took part at the Olympics (2016); World Cup (2014); Asian Games (2014, 2018); Commmonwealth Games (2014, 2018); Asia Cup (2013); Hockey World League Tier 4 (Finals) THRICE (2014, 2015, 2017), Hockey World League Tier 3 (Round 3) (2015) & Champions Trophy (2012 & 2014).

With ten goals in five matches, Rupinder Pal Singh played a vital role in India winning the Asian Champions Trophy in Kuantan. Every improving Rupinder Pal Singh was declared Best Player of the HIL 2016, and with that a grand purse of Rs.50 lac. Rupinder Pal Singh played four seasons for the Delhi Waveriders. In 2014, he scored a hat-trick against GB and only goal of India over Australia. <He was called for Singapore 4-Nation (Under – 18) Cup camp in 2006 but was not selected. He made it to the team next year for the same tournament. He was also in the Bangalore camp preparing for Chile Olympic Qualifier. He made it to the Junior India side for the Malaysia 8-Nation Cup, was part of the Argentina test series, before earning senior spurs at the 2010 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. He is a good defender, useful penalty corner negotiator. He works for Indian Overseas Bank, a top domestic team down south.
