Delhi based hockey official Anjali Sharma does India proud.

She has been declared best among the 34 aspirants who attended a training course for Technical Officers and Judges here in Ipoh, Malaysia. The course was conducted for new comers by the Asian Hockey Federation.

The six-day course was conducted simultaneously with the on going Azlan Shah Cup

A committee headed by Singapore based Madhavandas declared her the best after all the trainees underwent a rigorous written, oral and practical tests.

“I couldn’t believe myself, I just cried”.

This is how the proud Anjali described her emotion after the pleasant but unexpected honour came her way today in the morning.

The merit certificates and the Anjali’s award were given away in a simple but impressive function at the AHF’s Hockey Academy located in the same complex where the Azlan Shah hockey Stadium is located.

Participants from as many as 20 Asian nations took part in the course.

There is also another good news for Anjali.

She will be officiating in the Junior Girls Asia Cup in Bangkok, Thailand, to be held this month end.
