All in the game, Nobbs says on controversial penalty stroke

IPOH (Malaysia): India coach Michael Nobbs said “it was all in the game” when asked to comment on the last-minute controversial penalty stroke which helped Malaysia eke out a 2-2 draw against Danish Mujtaba and Co.

Nobbs feels that “There is room for improvement in the overall umpiring.” Underlying the fine performance of the team, Nobbs said “With a bit of luck, the day could have been the Indians.”

South African coach Paul Revington said he was not ideally placed to comment on the controversy surrounding the penalty stroke.

“The Indians dished out their best brand of hockey today and really pressed the Malaysians. Ahead of the final, it was a good lesson on the field which should help the Malaysians in the final,” said Revington.

Ranked 13th compared to the second ranked Australians, Revington said that the underdog tag suited his team.
