The International Hockey Federation (FIH) released the match schedule for the 2007 Samsung Champions Trophy men. The event will be played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 29 November until 9 December and features eight of the best teams in the world.

The Samsung Champions Trophy was originally planned as a six team event. However, after the FIH made the decision to shift the hockey’s leading tournament in 2007 from Lahore, Pakistan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the FIH decided to add two more teams to the Samsung Champions Trophy. This gave Pakistan the opportunity to participate.

Participants Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Pakistan, Spain will play a single round robin tournament with the first two ranked teams qualifying for the final on Sunday 9 December 2007.

World Champion Germany will meet Pakistan on the opening day of the Samsung Champions Trophy. The re-match of the World Cup final between Germany and Australia is scheduled for Saturday 8 December
