Inspired by India’s win over Pakistan, two hockey fans, also players, land up in Ipoh to cheer the team for the title. Manprit Pal Singh is an incumbent of Punjab and Sindh Hockey Academy while Baljit singh is enrolled with Surjit Hockey Academy, both in Jalandhar.

They are the souls here to cheer up India

After India won the Pakistan match and got ready for taking Malaysia in its quest for the final, they pestered their parents and booked the ticket, and after reaching Kuala Lumpur they had to stay a night in a costly hotel.

Next day they wanted to come by bus to Ipoh, but found out they will miss India’s Malaysia match by half an hour. So, they booked a taxi, reached in time, and caught the whole of India-Malaysia match.

They did not bother about all the hurdles they faced but only wants India to defeat Argentina.

“We have come for that, we want India to win”, says Manpreet Singh.
