Rotterdam: Florian Keller scored twice Tuesday to lead top-ranked Germany over South Korea 4-3 in its first win at the Champions Trophy field hockey tournament.
Matthias Witthaus set up Keller for Germany’s first goal before Oli Korn and Sebastian Draguhn made it 3-0 in the opening 15 minutes. Kim Byung-hoon pulled one back in the 17th for South Korea off a penalty corner but Germany immediately restored its three-goal cushion when Keller converted a penalty stroke.
Lee Nam-yong and Seo Jong-ho scored the South Koreans’ other goals. The Germans had previously lost 3-5 to the Netherlands and drawn 2-2 against Argentina in the six-nation tourney .
