Star skipper Rani Rampal headlined a 60 player probables list for the women’s hockey national camp, beginning in Bengaluru from Friday.
Rani, who missed out the five match bilateral series with Malaysia due to injury, joins the two-week camp alongside goalkeeper Savita and defender Deep Grace Ekka.
A selection trial will be held on May 4 to prune down the list to 33 core probables, a Hockey India media release said.
“While I am looking forward to seeing and testing the new talent coming into the National Camp, the athletes will need to perform and show their capabilities,” India’s chief coach, Sjoerd Marijne said.
