The Bombay Hockey Association (BHA) on Thursday submitted a letter to the Maharashtra government agreeing to the stipulations laid down by the latter as a pre-condition to renew the lease of their premises. One of the four conditions laid down was to give away a portion of their area in the north-west corner for enabling neighbours Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) expand the Wankhede Stadium to accommodate more spectators ahead of hosting the 2011 World Cup final, a top BHA official said on Thursday.
“We submitted a letter to the Maharashtra government agreeing to all their stipulations for renewing our lease.
