HOCKEY YEAR BOOKS

Hockey historian and chronicler K. Arumugam started compiling Indian hockey statistics on a scientific basis since the late 1980s. His worked served the purpose of providing right numbers with respect to tournaments, matches, players and the game. In order to serve long term, and make the collection of information and numbers last long, the concept of Year Book was put in place. First Hockey Year Book, with innovative features like Annual Player Awards etc, was published in 1995. Since then another 10 compilations were done by K. Arumugam, and published.
