Up and coming forward Cheeyanna is from Coorg, Karnataka. He made his senior India debut against New Zealand in the 17th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, 2008. Before that he was part of the Junior India teams in 2007, making his junior debut in the Monchengladbach 8-Nation. He plays Premier Hockey League for Bangalore Lions. The hard working forward from Cheeyana was spotted prominently at Chandigarh PHl, where he scored some beautiful goals. Cheeyan joined SAI hosterl in 2002, where he spent four years. He played Jalandhar Senior Nationals in 2007 and is presently gets stipend from Indian Oil Corporation.
