Hugely talented midfielder Vickram Kant hails from Bangalore. He is also a product of Sports Authority of India's Sports Hostel there. He had his education in Stp. Joseph Senior High School, Bangalore. He was member of the Senior SAI hostel for four years between 2--1 and 2004 before moving to Centre of Excellence in the same city. He worked for Canara Bank for a year and then joined the present employer Indian Oil Corporation. He represented IOC at the latest Senior National Championship, for a bronze.

The hard-working midfielder is all over the turf, veritably an all rounder. He stops the balls during the penalty corner drills besides taking up many other vital duties. His all round game came in for commendation at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup (2008) where India won the bronze.
