ST STEPHEN’S School, Sector 45, will take on Coaching Centre, Sector 18, in the final of the Chandigarh State SubJunior and Junior Hockey Championship for girls at the Sector 18 Hockey Stadium on Wednesday .

In the semifinal, St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, edged past Government Mod el Senior Secondary School, Sector 19, 4-3 via penalty strokes. Both the teams were equally matched and were tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation time.

In the penalty shoot out, Amisha and Jagjit scored for St Stephen’s School while Shivani contributed in the losing cause.

In the second semifinal, title contenders Coaching Centre, Sector 18, thrashed Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 43, 6-0 to secure spot in final. For Coaching Centre, Neha and Shilpi scored a brace each while Pooja and Anita contribute one goal each in the team’s victory.

In junior category , Junior Coaching Centre 18 defeated Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, 6-0 while St Stephen’s got a walk over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19.
