Prem struck a hat-trick as Northern Railway stormed into the super league section of the district hockey league with an all-win record at Babu stadium. In their final league match they steamed past North Eastern Railway 4-0 to finish with 12 points to make the grade from Group A. It was a one-way affair for the winners, as Prem struck in the 48th, 55th and 56th minutes of the game after Rajneesh Pande got the opening goal in the 47th minute. There will be three days’ rest, and the league starts again on August 18 with Babu Society playing Police Radio at 2.30 pm and SSB taking on Red Eagle Club at 4 pm.
