On the second day ( 25th August) of the 21st Sub junior Girls National Hockey championship being played at Rourkela, 9 matches were played. Due to ‘Orissa Bandh’ call given by the VHP in prostest against the killing of Swami Laxmnanand Sarswati on 23rd August, the matches scheduled to be played at Biju Patnaik Hockey Stadium could not be conducted there. All the nine matches were played at the sports hostel ground, Panposh.
I personally could not attend the matches.

Group-‘C’- Gwalior beat Assam 20-0

Group-‘D’ Mizoram beat Uttrakhand 5-0

Group-‘E’- PEPSU beat Vidarbha 8-0

Group-‘F’ Punjab beat Rajasthan 8-0

Group-‘G’- Chhatisgarh beat Himachal Pradesh 4-0
‘G’ Andhra Pradesh beat Gujarat 16-0

Group ‘H’-Jharkhand beat Bhopal 8-0
