Born on 20th Dec. 1996, Haryana's Sumit made his senior international debut at the 2017 Azlan Shah Cup along with three others (Suraj Karkera, Affan Yousuf and Akash Chikte). Sumit played for Delhi University before moving to Haryana and making a name for himself. He was part of the gold winning Indian Jr World Cup team.

SUMIT has played the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup thrice (2017, 2018, 2019). The gifted midfielder also saw action at the HWL R3, HWL R4  in 2017 & Asia Cup 2017 before appearing in big ticket events of World Cup and Commonwealth Games in 2018.
