Born on 16th Jan. 1998,  the college student from Bhopal Md. Farooqwon gold at the U-18 Asia Cup held at Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2016. When selected for the tour, he was an incumbent of newly formed National Hockey Academy in Delhi. Same year he also won gold at the South Asian Federation Games.  In 2015, the calm and quiet player figured in the 2015 Junior Asia Cup as well.
