HOCKEY ‘B’ DIVISION LEAGUE

SAI ‘D’ remain unbeaten

Bangalore: Champions Sports Authority of India (SAI) ‘D’, Bangalore continued their winning run by outclassing Maratha Light Infantry, Belgaum 3-1 in their last semifinal round-robin match in the State ‘B’ Division hockey league at the KSHA stadium here on Saturday.

In fact, SAI ‘D’ had assured themselves of the title on Friday itself. Besides SAI ‘D’, runners-up BSNL, MLI and Synergy Sports were promoted to the ‘A’ Division
league by virtue of their show in the ‘B’ Division.

The ‘A’ Division league, scheduled to start on December 15, will now commence on January 5 owing to maintenance works at the KSHA stadium.
