HU beat UYAC in Hockey league

IMPHAL, Dec 13: Hockey Union, Lairikyengbam Leikai outlasted UYAC, Ucheckon 7-3 today thereby recording its first win in the 2nd Manipur State Hockey League Tournament at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium.

Winless, UYAC matched their opponents till late into the second half before HU notched in five second half goals in the span of under 20 minutes to take away the match and grab maximum points. L Shitaljoy (10th), P james (30th), L Bikram (51st, 55th, 62nd) and Ng Mahabir (60th, 68th) scored the HU goals while Th Ranjan (25th), Th Dhamen (40th) and A Boinao (57th) reduced the score deficit for the Ucheckon side.

Tomorrow’s matches will feature MPSC against Cosmo at 7 am, PHAM Vs KhSC (12.30 pm) and SEYO-SAI RC (2 pm).
