Canara Bank pip Central Excise:

Canara Bank staged a superb rally to defeat Central Excise 4-2 in the 12th Field Marshal Cariappa hockey tournament in Bangalore on Tuesday.

Mandanna PM (11th minute) drew first blood for Excise and six minutes later, Anup Anthony made it 2-0. After the double blow, Canara Bank pulled one back in the 24th minute through Dinesh. There was no stopping the Bankmen thereafter with Ronal Kiran scoring a brace (39, 63) and Appanna finding the target in the 50th minute.
