Aran Zalewski has been a mainstay in the Australian team in which he mans the centre-half position with aplomb.
The 30-year-old made his debut against India in 2011 at Bunbury, Australia, and scored a goal in a 5-0 victory.
Zalewski, who has collected 191 caps, was part of the Australian team that won the 2014 World Cup in The Hague, The Netherlands, and participated in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
He also picked up a gold medal at the 2018 Champions Trophy (now defunct) in Breda, The Netherlands.
The resident of Magaret River, Western Australia, helped steer the Kookaburras to the title in the inaugural FIH Pro League in 2019, claiming the best player award.
Zalewski has been named co-captain, along with Eddie Ockenden, of a 16-player squad to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where Australia will attempt to win their second gold medal.
