Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers ( RCF) & Air India registered identical victories in the Super League played at the MHA Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate.

RCF continued their outstanding run in the Super League , the other day they stunned Mumbai Customs ( 2-1) and today they again came up with giant killing performance down by (1-2) at breather. RCF roar back in the second session to over come Central Railway3-2 while Air India huff and puff to get pass gritty & energetic Indian Navy by
2-1 score during lemon break; both the sides were at level terms (0-0).

RCF were down by a brace in the earlier 10 minutes of the opening session of play time, Central Railway fired through back to back penalty corner conversions. Rashid Ali converted indirectly (8th minutes) and Nilesh mane directly (10th minute) 2-0. That did not deter the youthful RCF before recess they pulled a goal back Laxman Rao the lanky striker superbly place the ball into the wooden cage from a brilliant pass by winger Monish Rana from the axis ( 1-2 ).

After resumption RCF over shadowed fancied Central Railway totally the margin could bave been much higher but RCF missed out hosts of chances. RCF earned 10 penalty corners compared to Central Rly two penalty corners. RCF equalized for the 2nd time through a brilliant penalty corner direct conversion by defender Javed Ahmed (43rd minutes ) 2-2 . The last 10 minutes RCF put Central Railway to back foot by flourishes of raids on their citadel in one such moves 64th minute winger B.K.Mithanna unleashed a gem of a pass from the axis well stationed Monish Rana oblige by clinically finishing brilliantly for the winner (3-2). RCF have 12 points from 5 matches ( 4 win & 1 loss ) Central have 8 points from 6 matches ( 2 win,2draw and 2 loss ).

Former champion Air India should thanks legend Dhanraj Pillay for today’s win his brace ( 55th and 66th minutes ) gave the Airmen fuel to get over gritty Navy had Navy Pradeep Kullu not missed a ‘ stroke ‘ in the 14th minutes . Navy could have drawn the tie, but destiny had different results in store. Navy went into lead in the 43rd minutes of the play Liaba Singh slammed in during a goalmouth melee 1-0 after planning out a goalless first half. However the airmen missed out Sameer Dad in the forward line who didn’t turned up in today’s tie. Air India pluck maximum points luckily over Navy 2-1.
