Air India put up a dominant display to thrash Namdhari XI 3-0 in the 20th Lal Bahadur Shastri hockey tournament at the Nehru Stadium in Gurgaon on Monday, according to information received here.
All three goals were scored in the second half.
Vikas Pillay opened the account for Air India via a field goal in the 46th minute.
Amir Khan extended the lead 10 minutes later. With Namdhari XI unable to find their rhythm, Joga Singh scored the last goal of the match in the dying minutes to seal the match.
In another game, Indian Oil Corporation beat ONGC 2-0. Didar Singh broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute via a penalty stroke.
Meanwhile, Punjab National Bank drew with South Central Railway 1-1.
