Friday, January 15, 2010: Sports Authority of India (SAI) completed their Super League engagements on a winning note today in their last tie SAI stunned Mumbai Customs by a narrow margin of 2-1 . After being down by a goal during lemon break (0-1) Mumbai Customs too have completed their matches organized by MHA Ltd and played at the Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate.

SAI recorded their 1st win in 10 matches played so far (1 win, 1 draw and 8 loss) aggregating 4 points, Customs too are not in a fine position this season have garnered only 8 points from 10 matches ( 2 win, 2 draw and 6 loss ). Both the sides playing their last league match customs had the better exchanges in the earlier session of play Olympian Rahul Singh providing the feeding from the midfield Customs created ample forays upfront but their strikers missed some open sitters however just a minute before the half way hooter Customs went into lead Rahul Singh’s providing a diagonal pass to well positioned Savio Nayak inside the circle Savio Nayak deflected into the box clinically ( 1-0 ) After the break time Customs failed to maintain their earlier half display its seemed they were running out of steam.

On the other hand youthful SAI cam up with an improvised tactics their agile and upcoming striker Narad Bahadur fired a superb brace as Narad pulled a goal back soon after breather ( 38th minutes ) via drag flicker during a p.c ( 1-0 ) and also came up with a brilliant solo field goal ( 58th minutes ) scoring from a acute angle ( 2-1 ) Thereafter the SAI youthful displayed man to man marking method and kept customs at bay.
