Madikeri: BPCL scraped past Fortis 3-2 in the first match while Army Red team beat its fancied opponent IOCL by an identical margin in the second phase matches of the Super Division Hockey League matches being played here.

The results: BPCL 3 (Gurpreet Singh 5, Sher Singh 45, Karanjith 53) bt Fortis 2 (Diwakar Ram 48, 51).

Army Red 3 (Ignace Tirkey 22, 29, Chittaranjan Singh 34) bt IOCL 2 (Ramandeep 43, Prabhjot Singh 65).
