ONGC, BPCL win

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) toyed with Punjab National Bank 4-1 while Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) blanked Southern Central Railway 4-0 in the 21st Indian Oil Shastri Hockey Tournament at the National Stadium here today.

In a one-sided match, ONGC took a comfortable 3-0 lead before the Bankmen could pull one back through Jalwinder.

But just before close, the Oilmen knocked in one more goal to emerge 4-1 victors. Jagwant, Mandeep Antil, Gurwinder Chandi and Pramod scored for ONGC.

BPCL faced no resistance from SC Railway as they steamrolled into a comfortable victory.
