AI, Indian Oil start with win

Defending champions Air India rode on excellent performance from former India stars to beat SAI 4-3 in the 65th All India Obaidullah Khan Gold Cup hockey tournament. Air India scored through Joga Singh, Sameer Dad, Shivendra Singh and Dhanraj Pillay while SAI fought back through goals from Shakir, Avinash and Azam Baig. In other matches, Indian Oil rode on a brace from Prabhjot Singh to blank Sapura Club of Malaysia 4-0 while ONGC drubbed a Bangladesh XI 9-1.
