FIH has responded. It has responded with seemingly a firm way. The FIH does not like the Govt. of India mediated ‘Monday Mania’ — the 39 member committee, called Joint Executive Board.
Not only that since HI and IHF agreement violated the statues of FIH in the issue of sole body running the sport and that that body will not have any power to transfer its power to administer the sports, the FIH says that ,’it is neither possible nor appropriate to continue with the discussions with HI to host tournaments in India over the next 4 year cycle, particularly the FIH Men’s Champions Trophy (December 2011), and the FIH Men’s & Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments (February 2012).
The FIH greatly regrets this decision but feels that it is left with no alternative’
