The official word is yet to come, but it is certain the much expected World Series Hockey is postponed to March next year, to enable all players to participate in it.

Hockey India has given an impression that it will not have objection if the WSH is held after the Olympic Qualifier to be held in Delhi in February next year.

No formal agreement has so far been arrived at on the crucial issue of players’ free participation, between the Nimbus, organizers of WSH and Hockey India, which, riding on the shoulders of FIH, objected to the event calling it ‘unsanctioned’.

The battle that has been going on last one and half year has come to a crucial stage now. Just a week left for the start of the WSH, Hockey India wins the first round.

Meanwhile, WSH has informed the media of arrival of two Pakistan players, Adnan Masood and Zeeshan Ashraff — both played in the Premier Hockey League as well — and their views of Bangalore team.
