Born on 11th July 1942 at Bareilly, Anderson Liesle Frank played for Uttar Pradesh in many National Championships. He won the National titles in 1962,1963 and 1965. The talented left-half was first selected for the Japan tour (1965) followed by European tour and Asian Games (1966). India won its first Asian Games hockey gold in 1966. He was also part of the gold winning Hamburg team the same year. Worked in the Indian Railways at Gorakhpur. The midfielder breathed his last in 2002.
