Another comic stuff from the stable of Hockey India
Fraudulently and across-the-table formed Hockey India has asked a state body yesterday the minutes of its Annual General Body meeting by which their unified body was formed. It was in response to Hockey Punjab’s request that met with silence in the last three months, but came after a day after a political heavy weight (Sukhbir Singh Badal) raised hue and cry for not getting affiliation which is their birth right.
The letter written by the Hockey India’s imported president AK Mattoo in normal course would have termed him a meticulous man, because he wants to have proper paper before affiliating another unit for which the former boxing official has now acquired a divine right.
Without going into the merits and demerits of the HI’s latest communication, we wish to ask the following questions:
**On what Annual General Meeting the decision to form Hockey India was taken?
**Can Hockey India provide the minutes of the meeting with the signatures of those attended?
**Hockey India tells the whole world, including the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, it has given affiliation to so many State Units, if so, why none of these ‘affiliated’ units – even one – did not get any letter of affiliation from Hockey India even though the election is supposed to be less than a month’s time ?
**Please let us also know which AGM of which body has authorized some handpicks to recognize or derecognize units which are more than 50-years old?
**Which AGM has taken a decision to debar greatest sporting institutions such as services and Railways from the electoral college of hockey administration?
Come on Mr. Mattoo, don’t try to be meticulous. For a third party like us, what you do clearly appears ridiculous.
Of course the best comic stuff of the year should go to our Hockey India, and why. There is a product without a factory producing it. Yes, Hockey India is a brand name. Which factory’s?
FIH brands itself World Cup. Good marketing strategy. It does not mean they dissolved FIH. Both FIH and the brand World Hockey co-exist. In the same way if you look at it, where is the IHF whose brand is Hockey India. How a brand can itself be a factory or orgnization.
