NEW DELHI: Indian men’s hockey goalkeeper Baljit Singh was set to leave for the United States late on Tuesday for post operative treatment at the John Hopkins Medical Centre, Baltimore after his eye surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Baljit was injured in his right eye with a golf ball while training at the coaching camp at Pune. The 28-year-old Baljit will be accompanied by Dr. Kiran Gopalakrishnan, a member of the AIIMS team that performed the surgery.
Baljit will also be examined by world renowned eye specialist Dr. Robert Morris in Alabama next week.
