India’s hockey goalkeeper Baljit Singh, whose right eye was operated after being hit by a golf ball in a practice session, is flying to the United States for post-operative treatment at John Hopkins Medical Centre, Baltimore. Baljit, 28, is being accompanied on the flight Tuesday night by Kiran Gopalakrishnan, a member of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) team that performed surgery on him last month. He will be examined by the world renowned eye specialist Robert Morris at Alabama next week, Hockey India (HI) said in a statement here on Tuesday.
