Tuesday, November 03, 2009: Central Railway and Air India scored win’s in the MHA Super League matches played at the Mahindra Stadium, D-Road, Churchgate, Mumbai-20.

Central Railway got the better of Maharashtra State Police by 2-0 margin. C.Rly were ahead by 1-0 during the breather. C.Rly took time to get into rhythm while M.S.Police looked more set however C.Rly went into initial lead ( 18th minutes ) their reliable defender Nilesh Mane converted a direct penalty corer 1-0 thereafter the state cop’s main striker Amit Yesur who was totally off colour today missed twice easy sitters on the spot.

After resumption M.S.Police piled up pressure on C.Rly citadel but their moves went abortive. C.Rly too were not far behind but their strikers messed up good moves up front. However C.Rly added the 2nd goal against the run of play Akilesh Singh pounced on a loose ball outside the circle and unleashed a bisecting short pass to well positioned Ajaz Qureshi who deceived M.S.Police keeper by his clever push in to the box ( 2-0 ) in the 47th minutes. Thereafter both sides fought out without disturbing the scorers.

Fancied Air India registered their 7th straight win beating BEG ‘A” by 7-2. Seven matches played so far with all win record accumulating 21 points and sitting on the top of the super league table. However today as the score suggest things were not easy for star studded airmen’s at one stage BEG ‘A” were lead by a brace of goals. At lemon break airmen were up by a slender margin of 3-2 . For airmen’s mercurial Dhanraj Pillay once again rescued them as he stepped in after 10 minutes of the first half thereafter airmen’s who were down 0-2 roared back and memorized their lowly placed rivals BEG ‘A’ totally . BEG ‘A” shot up to lead in the 10th minutes through a stoke converted by Niranjan Ekka 1-0, two minutes later Rohit Dung Dung converted a indirect penalty corner doubled the lead 2-0. Surprised and stunned the airmens looked lost entered Dhanraj Pillay into the field and the scenario was totally changed in favour of airmen’s all the way his brilliantly passes and moves put airmens in to driving seat. V.S.Vinay ( 15th minutes ) Vikram Pillay ( 17th minutes ) and Taranjit Singh ( 22nd minutes ) were the scorers for airmen in the first half of play. After change of ends it was all the way for airmen who dominated the full session scoring goals at will ( Shivendra Singh ( 41st minutes ) Vikram Pillay ( 50th minutes ) Alden D’Souza ( 55th minutes ) and Victo Singh ( 59th minutes ) added each to round up the tally for Air India. BEG ‘A” who placed on the bottom of the league table with one point only from 6 matches played so far.
