Daily redemption of World Cup ticket likely to give hardships to fans
Those who purchase World Cup ticket online are likely to face problem in redemption, as every day they have to go to another stadium for this.
Normally redemption of tickets at one go is permitted, but this time it has to be done every day at Ambedkar Stadium, or Trade Fair Grounds, located 2 or 3 kms from Major Dhyan Chand National stadium
The fans have been informed that they would have to queue up daily to redeem our e-tickets, rather that getting them at one go.
This will certainly inconvenience overseas visitors who could use this
precious time sightseeing or spending some tourist dollars elsewhere which
would be beneficial to all.
Other countries even offered season tickets for the whole event and that too at a discounted price.
While booking at ticketgenie.in there was no warning that the buyers cannot redeem all
e-tickets at one go.
Speaking to this site, an avid fan from Australia said, “I am sure many hundreds of overseas visitors who have opted to buy on-line as a safe guard measure are going to be disappointed if they have to get to the stadium hours in advance on a daily basis just to redeem their tickets”.
“The same qualigty time we could have well spent on site seeing or spend worthy dollors on Indian market”, he added.
It is hoped the authorities will look into the issue afresh and make visiting hockey fraternity happy, not drag them daily to another venue — that too daily.
