An exhibition match engaging Chakde India film artists, including the lead character Shah Ruk Khan, is likely to come up at Chandigarh on 11th September, two days after Asia Cup in Chennai.

The exhibition match in which all the sixteen models / players who formed the team that went on to win the World Cup in the highly acclaimed cinema Chakde India will be in action at the Sector 42 hockey stadium in Chandigarh.

This match is being organized to promote Chak de India, which is believed to be running to packed houses, and also receiving rave reviews by the critics.

Though no official communication has been made so far, activities at Chandigarh stadium confirm the proposed mega meet.

In the past Indian hockey’s cinema connection has been fairly large, with Hindi cinema’s leading family Raj Kapoor kandan evincing keen interest in the then most popular of sports.

Last time an exhibition match with cinestars oraganized was with the victorious World Cup team of 1975 at Mumbai.
