The WorldHockey Champions Trophy, taking place in Rotterdam from 21-29 June, will be streamed online by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).

Starting with the opening match between Australia and Korea at 1035 on Saturday 21 June, key matches from the event will be made available free of charge to viewers on FIH’s streaming site www.worldhockey.tv and will be powered by FIH’s streaming partner, Vienna-based unas media productions (www.unas.tv). FIH is re-launching www.worldhockey.tv on an experimental basis for the WorldHockey Champions Trophy and for the first time the site will offer live streaming on a free-of-charge basis. After the WorldHockey Champions Trophy, the FIH aims to develop the site in future months to also offer on-demand content.

FIH President Els van Breda Vriesman commented: “Having been one of the first federations to offer live streaming of our major events as long ago as 2002, I’m really pleased that the re-launch will again offer live coverage of FIH’s premium annual event, the Champions Trophy to all hockey lovers worldwide.”
