Mapusa: St. Anthony’s High School, Majorda, and St. Anthony’s High School, Monte de Guirim, will battle for supremacy when they meet in the final of the Nehru Cup under-15 boys hockey.

In the first semifinal at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa, on Monday, Majorda beat Fr. Agnel, Pilar, 1-0.

The teams tried their best to break the rival citadel. However, the strikers of both the teams were guilty of shooting wide after coming within striking distance. Then Evison Falco’s goal scored in the 40th minute turned out to be the match-winner.

In the second semifinal, Monte de Guirim scored an identical 1-0 win over St. Anne’s, Tivim. Ishan Mohamad scored the winning goal.
