Mapusa: St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa are on their way to the Capital.

Xavier’s booked their tickets after edging out St Anthony’s High School, Monte de Guirim 2-1 in the final of the Nehru girls U-17 hockey Cup at Peddem sports complex, Mapusa.

In an exciting final, St Anthony’s took an early second lead through Divya Dargalkar. However, Xavier’s stuck to their task in a methodical manner. The champions were helped by brilliant efforts from Manjita Matkar. The gifted player struck a brace for Xavier’s.
