HI Election: FIH Clarifies

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) would like to make a statement on articles appearing in the Indian media regarding the elections of Hockey India and the constitution, status and by-laws of Hockey India.

The FIH is confident in the election process for Hockey India and is assisting in all possible ways. The FIH is in close contact with Hockey India and all bodies involved and is helping them to make sure that the constitution, status and by-laws of Hockey India will be in line with the statutes of the FIH. This is the normal process in forming a National Association.

The FIH regrets that misleading articles appeared in the Indian media, principally because they do not reflect the reality.

The FIH is monitoring the ongoing process for clarification in order to achieve clean and transparent election results.
